T1 Solitary skin involvement

T1a Solitary lesion < 5 cm in diameter

T2a Infestation limited to < 15 cm diameter

T2b Infestation between 15 - 30 cm diameter

T2c Infestation > 30 cm diameter

T3 Generalized skin involvement

T3a Multiple skin lesions distributed over 2 non-contiguous body regions

T3b multiple skin lesions > 3 body regions

N Stage (lymph nodes)

N0 No clinical and pathological LK involvement

N1 Involvement of a peripheral LK region that is part of the drainage area of the current and/or previous skin involvement

Prognostic Factors

Beyond the factors used to assign T, N, or M categories, no additional prognostic factors are required for stage grouping.²

The Lugano classification includes no prognostic variable for determination of stage. A separate TNM staging system is used for these lymphomas.

Definition: Extent involvement; solitary, regional, generalized (clinical)

Clinical significance: Therapy consideration, overall survival

Nodes

Definition: Involvement of draining lymph node, nondraining or central (pathology)

Clinical significance: Overall survival

Metastases

Definition: Visceral organ (pathology)

Clinical significance: Overall survival

Pathology

Definition: Histologic type, immunophenotype

Clinical significance: Affects choice of therapy and overall survival
